In the heat the 9 got by but the track was to rough to try to pass them back.In the A the 9 had to start last because they won last week, the .30-06 started first and got a good jump lead the hole race, about lap six the 9 got a flat the next car was two laps down so they threw the checkered.

I drew 74 out of 75 which is about as bad as possible. I started last in the 3rd heat. I had air in the brakes so the car was not good. Two cars didn’t finish and I passed one so received enough passing points to start 5th out of 18 cars. We bled the brakes and that fixed them. I had a good start and was in 3rd after only a few laps. A few cautions helped keep the lap cars out of the way. Robbie Bryant had a car problem so on a later restart he left the track and I saw that Jody Tillman was behind me. I never saw Jody again and ended up with my first victory over Jody and my best finish at Monett to date with 2nd. The car was great. Jordan Holloway won.

Motor was not runing rite all night

During the heat I was behind Sundance and another car which were side by side for most of the heat so I didn’t force things and finished 3rd. During the feature I almost beat Jody Tillman for the first time (we started the feature side by side…he in 5th and me in 6th). Towards the end he was in 2nd and I was in 3rd, side by side again only this time on a restart with only a few laps to go. I stayed on his outside for a couple laps, even beating him to the flag stand on one lap and almost again a second time. Then (what I later found out was a problem with my left rear caliper ) my car would turn to the right when I applied the brakes. This caused me to have to pull behind Jody for a 3rd place finish. Robbie Bryant started on the pole and won (17 cars turned out).

Three cruisers in the heat thay started 3rd in the first turn the 007 cut them off and gave them a flat the next lap the 007 had engine truble and was done for the night.In the A there was only two cars thay got 2

Flew in at 6:50 from Mexico…landed at the airport…Isaac had the car ready so I drove to Springfiled Raceway and was there in just a nick of time. During the heat race I started 3rd out of 8 cars…hit a tractor tire on 3/4 which smashed up my front end and destroyed the radiator. Someone that had car problems lent me their radiator. Started Feature 10th and finished 3rd by a small margin…almost had 2nd if 49 could learn how to corner without being completely sideways. Lots of dust but managed to not get into anyone.

Looks like another weekend of Rain. No racing tonight or tomorrow. I’m off to Mexico Sunday…you guys enjoy this weather while I go play in the sun!

Due to the unseasonably cold weather there was no racing for the second weekend of the race year. Maybe next weekend…though rain is in the forcast for Friday and Saturday.

Friday and Saturday it rained out. There was hope for Sunday and Monett when a lighting problem at the track cut short the heat races.
